Stephen Tharp at Trinity Church on the Green

April 30, 2011 – Stephen Tharp played on the Wendell H. Piehler Memorial Organ Series on the Aeolian-Skinnner, Opus 927 at Trinity Church on the Green. Mr. Tharp is a critically acclaimed concert organist known for his brilliant technique and musical sensitivity. JAV Recordings documented the recital for the internet here posting 2 pieces from the recital: Albert Renaud’s Toccata in d minor, Opus 108, No. 1 and the Adagio from Guilmant’s 5th Organ Sonata in c minor, Opus 80. Mr. Tharp recorded the complete 5th Organ Sonata by Guilmant at Brick Presbyterian Church in NYC and this recording is available at the JAV Recordings web store.
