JAV Recordings was founded in 1997 with one mission in mind: to record musicians of the highest caliber, performing on exceptional pipe organs across North America and Europe. Since then, we have been privileged to work with the best talent imaginable, from the artists performing the music, to those behind the scenes producing the comprehensive booklets with photographs and essays that accompany our albums.

Our goal each year is to record different pipe organs to capture the history of this rich instrument. In the upcoming months and years, JAV hopes to continue doing our part in promoting the pipe organ and contine to produce top notch recordings that our loyal customers have come to rightfully expect.

There’s a great video on YouTube of Stephen Tharp playing Mulet’s Tu Es Petra on the St. Patrick’s Cathedral organ. I’d really like to buy a JAV recording of it but I can’t find the track on any of your audio CDs. The organ, venue, and recording are so good I might buy the “Organ Classics” CD anyway. Is there any other way I can obtain the Tu Es Petra recording?

I just recorded that for the video. I don’t have a recording of the work on a CD played by Stephen.

I’m so glad that these historic instruments are being appreciated and preserved for future generations to enjoy. Thanks Joe for your part in this effort and the Organ Historical Society as well.
